Vocational Opportunities
The Galena City School District attracts students through the vocational classes that are offered. These vocational classes are Aviation, Automotive Technology, Cosmetology, Computer Technology, Culinary Arts, Small Engine, Driver's Education, Welding and Woodworking.
With having vocational programs, the GCSD helps teens who don't want to attend college by giving them the training for future careers. Also, for students who are planning on going to college, the vocational classes help give each student practical skills in life, like how to fix your car when it breaks down or help in fixing homes.
