Jeff Myers – Dean of Students

Jeff Myers is one of the recent additions to Galena Interior Learning Academy (GILA) and is the new Dean of Students.  He is originally from Illinois, but has lived in Wisconsin, Juneau, AK, Iowa, and throughout Europe.

While Jeff is new to GILA, he has been in the field of Residence Life for nearly 7 years and has been a RA, Hall Director, and Associate Dean of Students at other institutions.  In addition, Jeff has owned his own business in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Besides his various work positions Jeff has completed his Bachelors in Economics and Math from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI and his Masters in Educational Leadership from Michigan State University.  Jeff enjoys all sports, games, and a good debate as well as reading, hiking, and playing basketball (he is 6’10”).

Jeff hopes to have a great year here and is looking forward to creating a second home for the students at GILA.  He is excited about this opportunity and is eager to have this be the best year ever.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact Jeff as he is always willing to listen and try to help.
